A road, a word and a huge entry to write (1/3)

Well Its been how much?... 5 months since the last serious entry on this journal?.

I am really ashamed of myself, I want to keep up with everything currently in my life and I fail to write a stupid livejournal to keep in touch with you guys, I'm very sorry in this sense and I promise I will try to stay closer to you from now on, Even though I'm failing to attend the weekly TBL Chats or failing to provide new radio episodes every week I will try to stay with this journal as the ultimate way to be in touch with me x3!

Of course, you always have MSN or AIM if you find me there.

The main reason I have been unable to address all my online obligations lately its mostly because I'm enjoying my social life to its Fullest. I find myself, going out day after day with friends and people here and I had a great time so far.

But today I'm gonna set everything straight.

This is the first of 3 Planned Entries, the 3 of them with different grades of privacy (1 general, 1 Private and 1 Mature).

So here we go: )

And that is all the general stuff I can update to you for the time being. More detailed info and more stuff will come with the next entry.

I'm Planning on ALREADY starting with the Greeting Cards so I can have them done soon enough. my list this year is huge and I want to be able to do it, so please if you want me to add you, Ask me. I don't mind at all :D!

More details and info, Next in the private entry
Nasty details on the mature one soon enough.

This is the dragon once again in contact saying to you

Salu2 and Have a nice day :D

waste not? -__o

Today I packed my trail camera and went to the top of the mountain to the big dirt road entrance into the National Forest. I've been feeling a bit paranoid since a college student in Ferrum was shot and killed by a hunter just a week back while doing a science project - he heard a rustle and turned and fired his high-powered rifle, and it went through her chest and through her friend's hand as he had it on her back. She died instantly.

So with that in mind, I wore a bright orange shirt and a bracelet with a few bells on it. I guess I spend a good few hours out there. Good and sore from it now, anyway.

I took one of the narrow paths off of the dirt road and into the thicker part of the forest near the ridge, where there's an amazing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It wasn't far along here that I noticed a deer carcass up ahead in the middle of the path. Getting closer, I suddenly realized it was two deer, healthy young bucks, almost laying across each other. Their bellies were split, the legs had been cut off of one of them and were laying nearby, and their antlers were sawed off. Their eyes were wide open.

Now, hunting for food is one thing, but this I find inexcusable. Killing healthy animals in their prime just to take part of their skulls and leave the body to waste is callous and wasteful, not only of the lives of animals that can feel pain, but of meat that could feed an entire family.

A little ways down the hill was another one, just a head with staring eyes, with the antlers gouged out.

If I pretend for a moment that the waste of life and potential food isn't disgusting enough, dumping mutilated carcasses on a trail that people hike for recreation is pretty inconsiderate. Do people do that sort of thing just to spite hikers?

Less than a hundred yards ahead, I found a crumbling burlap sack with a skeletal headless, legless torso hanging out of it.

Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE deer season around here? The empty beer bottles scattered around don't do much to elevate my opinion about these people. I picked up a bit of trash. I'll have to bring a bag for it next time.

After a while of hiking I came back to the two carcasses and strapped the camera to a nearby tree, aimed at them. They're only a couple days old at most, so they might at least attract some interesting hungry critters. Am I worried about the camera being taken? Well, there is a lock on it, and I also have to figure that the smell will act as a deterrent to any would-be camera thieves.

Even if I try to, I'll never understand trophy hunters.

Beer Cheer 21: Midas Touch

Hidden within a scent of freshly opened grape juice is a certain ambrosia fit for royalty. There, within innocent hints of grape, strawberry, perhaps some coffee and dark chocolate, is the divine beer called Midas Touch. Purported to be based off of an ancient recipe, this divinely sweet beer provides punch atop a blissfully light sip. As a potent nectar, Midas Touch delivers - it's strong, it tastes good, and is quite masquerading. This is a great brew and worthy of a drink (or few!). Congrats to Dogfish for brewing up a true storm. Recommended.

Comeback

Well, it has been quite some time since I last posted, so I will return bearing gifts!

Both of these recordings are first and second take (respectively), full of guitarist blunders and audio clicks, and done with a floormate's recording equipment in my dorm room. They are certainly not adequate for a permanent place in your media folder, but I figured you may enjoy what I've been up to musically regardless. The ending on the last is kind of awkward because I screwed up and didn't feel like a third take, so I just cut off the end with a fade.

The second is the better of the two in my opinion.
